Fiat 500e or Smart Car, which one do I prefer?

At Borrow, the Smart car and the Fiat 500e are two options you could borrow for 3 or 6 months. Both car models are very similar to one another so an interesting question does come up, which is my preferred vehicle? Although both vehicles are similar, especially with how they look, they are two very different vehicles and both have the capability of outshining one over the other in many circumstances.

I’ll start with what both vehicles do very well and that being is that both are electric vehicles which means you never pay for gas. This benefit not only saves you a lot of money, but it also saves the environment due to both being zero-emission vehicles. Both cars have a compact size in that they are capable of getting around urban locations relatively easier compared to more traditional sedans.

The nitty-gritty

Now comes my actual preferences over each vehicle. The fiat 500 e comes with a lot of features and provide a bit more driving range than the smart car. For example, the fiat 500 e has a range capacity of 84 miles compared to the smart car which only has 58. The fiat 500 e also has a bit more features as compared to the bare bones that the smart car has.

While the fiat 500 e clearly has a bit more to offer, to me, that’s what the smart car does best in that it only focuses on the necessary components of the vehicle to get you from point A to point B. Both vehicles does well enough to get its job done but the smart car does it at a smaller cost compared to the Fiat.

And that is the answer to the question, to me, I prefer the smart car over the fiat 500e.
